Brian DiNuzzo: Tee Shot
Creative Commons License photo credit: davedphoto   A pre-shot routine is necessary to mentally prepare yourself for the upcoming shot.  Here are some guidelines:  a)  think about your shot strategy while advancing towards your ball.  b)  stand several feet behind your ball and find an aim point ( a bush, tree, pole, or any item) that is in line with your intended shot.  OR  find a spot somewhere in front of your ball that’s in line with the target and use that for an aim point.  c)  cross the play line (an imaginary line between you and the ball), once the line is crossed, there should be no further swing thoughts.  Your address position and swing should be on auto-pilot.  Don’t try to analyze during a round, that should be done on the practice range.
