Creative Commons License photo credit: rioncm   Whether you are a beginner or a scratch player there are 4 golf swing basics that should be at the top of your list if you want to play better golf. I like to use the easy to remember word, Gasp which stands for Grip, Aim, Stance and Posture.

Playing smart means that every time you address the ball you should go through a mental checklist. Check your grip to make sure it’s set properly on the club. Check your aim to make
sure you are aligned properly with your target. Next, take a quick look at your stance, are
your feet placed properly for the kind of shot you want to execute. Finally, be aware of your posture. Nothing contributes to more ruined shots than poor posture.

    Those are JUST four of the items needed. You also need clubface angle, right forearm position relative to the clubshaft, hands to the club, weight distribution at address, head location, left shoulder to the golf ball, and 13 other items!
