Pre-Shot Routine

Creative Commons License photo credit: mandj98   A pre-shot routine is all about consistency, which is so important in the game of golf.  Try the pre-shot routine used by most players on the PGA Tour:

1)  From four or five paces behind the ball, pick an area of the fairway (or green) that will be your target.  2)  Visualize the height, trajectory and flight of your golf ball.  3)  Walk to your ball (still visualizing your shot) and make only one practice swing.  4)  Use your right hand to align your clubface with your target, step into the address position and place your left hand on the grip.  Don’t spend too much time over the ball, negative thoughts can ruin your shot.
