photo credit: mandj98 Just as there are certain defining guidlines to execute a good golf swing, the same holds true for putting although they are not quite as rigid.
There is one factor that should be consistent with a good stroke and that is the importance of maintaining level shoulders. The reason why golfers use a reverse hand grip (lead hand lower), is because it allows their shoulders to remain level which squares up their swing path.
Step in front of a mirror and assume the standard grip (right handed players). Notice how your right shoulder is much lower. Now reverse your hands, notice how level your shoulders become. Regardless of what grip you use, work on leveling your shoulders for a successful putting stroke et.al. Padreg Harrington.
