<p>In the typical putting stroke there is unison, meaning that the shoulders, arms and club move together, the hands remain passive.  This type of stroke is almost always used for short or medium length putts.  For better feel and results on longer putts, try the following:</p>
<p>With your normal putting stance (address) grip the club with the grip you use for a full swing (overlap, interlock or baseball grip).  Using your normal full swing grip will free your wrists for better distance control which is critical for long putts.  Use this technique for lower scores.</p>
